About the Author - S. Michael Wilcox received his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado and is an Institute instructor at the University of Utah. He received the Orton Literary Award in 1996 for his book House of Glory. He lives in Draper, Utah. About the Artist - Al Rounds was born in Ogden, Utah, and was brought up in the small-town community of Walnut Creek, California. He has been painting full-time since he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1977. Al has always been drawn to architectural landscape, seeking a way to capture the feeling of a location, not just a visual representation. Some of his favorite places include England, Nauvoo, and the back roads of Utah.
