AMERICAN
FORK (September 2, 2004) A beautiful catered dinner with nine
of your favorite authors and a dead body, what more can you ask
for? On Friday, October 1, popular fiction authors Betsy Brannon
Green, Clair Poulson, Jennie Hansen, Sian Ann Bessey, Kerry Blair,
J. Michael Hunter, Michele Ashman Bell, Amy Maida Wadsworth, and
Robison Wells unite to host a murder mystery dinner to die for!
200 people will participate in the murder mystery that is something
like a live version of the game Clue™, but with the characters
from the authors’ most recent mystery novels. Everyone is
a suspect, and only one person knows who the murderer is—the
murderer. During the course of the dinner, guests will gather
clues to discover who the criminal is, and whoever correctly reveals
the criminal can win a prize.
Never before have so many popular fiction authors from all over
the country come together to host such an interactive event with
fans. Not only do fans get to meet their favorite authors, but
they also get to be a part of the mystery novels they love so
much.
This dinner will also be a chance for the authors to try and prove
they are as good at solving mysteries as they are at writing them.
Betsy Brannon Green from Alabama, author of Foul Play and Silenced,
said, “I’m looking forward to seeing if solving mysteries
is as much fun as writing them. And to be able to do it in such
good company will be a real treat!”
The event is just as fun for the authors as it is for the fans.
Kerry Blair from Arizona, author of Digging Up the Past and This
Just In, said, “I’m so excited to spend time with
some of my readers and my own favorite authors. I may be an author,
but I’m also a big fan!”
The murder mystery event will take place at the Orem Friendship
Center at 93 N 400 E. There will be an open reception and book
signing with the authors from 5:30–6:30 and the dinner begins
at 7:00. Tickets can be purchased at the Seagull Book & Tape
stores in Spanish Fork, Orem, and American Fork. For more information,
